When Janelle Bruland purchased Management Services Northwest in 1995, it was a small janitorial company with 10 employees. MSNW has since grown into a regional facility management company, offering services from janitorial to complete facility management. As President and Chief Executive Officer, Janelle’s responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of the business, with a focus on strategic planning and business development.
Janelle serves on the board of Building Service Contractor’s Association International (BSCAI), the largest international facilities services trade organization, and is an author and speaker on business and industry topics. She is an active community volunteer and board member of Peace Health, St. Joseph Medical Center. Janelle attended Whatcom Community College and Western Washington University, holds a degree in Business Administration and Accounting, and is a Certified Building Service Executive. Among her recent awards are the Nellie Cashman Woman Business Owner of the Year, the Washington State Small Business Person of the Year, and the Fastest Growing Private Companies lists by Inc. Magazine and Puget Sound Business Journal.
Terell Weg has been with Management Services Northwest since the company was founded in 1995. In 2008, she assumed the position of Business Development. Terell is responsible for all aspects of sales and marketing, and works closely with our CEO on development strategies. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Gonzaga University, with a concentration in Marketing and a minor in Sociology. Terell is active in the community and volunteers at North County Christ the King as well as New Way Ministries, a non-profit assisting homeless women and their children.
Wayne Galloway has been with Management Services Northwest since 2008. As our Direcor of Operations, Wayne oversees the administration and management of MSNW’s operations in five states.
Wayne attained his IICRC designation and recently his RBSM from the Building Service Contractors Association; distinquished certifications only received through experience, classrom time and rigorous testing. He is highly active in the community and has served as President of the Ferndale Chamber of Commerce and on the board of the Boys and Girls Club of Ferndale.
Karen Turner joined the Management Services Northwest team in 2011. Her broad range of corporate accounting experience includes the construction, healthcare and professional sports industries. Karen holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from West Virginia University; she achieved her Certified Public Accountant certification in the State of Virginia in 1992. Karen also serves as Treasurer for Foreign Language Associates Northwest, an organization that makes foreign language classes available to elementary school children.
Byron has been with MSNW since 2007. He is instrumental in coordinating all of our landscaping projects, as well as overseeing the snow department for our Washington and Oregon clients. Byron brings 15 years of industry experience to our team. He is a Certified Landscape Technician by the Washington Association of Landscape Professionals, with designations in softscape installation, turf maintenance and ornamental maintenance. He is President of the Northwest Chapter, Washington Association of Landscape Professionals, sits on the State Board of Directors, and volunteers his time as boys and girls’ baseball coach with Lynden Youth Sports.
Chris Holeman began his MSNW career in 1999. He brings 16+ years of custodial and management experience to his role, and is IICRC certified. Chris volunteers his time with the American Cancer Society by participating in Relay for Life, fundraising, and donating to Locks of Love.
Buzz joins Management Services Northwest with over twenty (20) years of industry related knowledge and ten (10) years of construction management experience. He is responsible for in-house employees as well as subcontractor partners in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. He manages facility renovation projects as well as maintenance service and repairs in the areas of carpentry, HVAC, electrical, plumbing and painting services.
Shanan Hoekstra joined the MSNW team in 2007, bringing many years of facility resource management, commercial real estate and facility services coordination experience to her role as Safety Officer. Shanan works closely with the Associated General Contractors Association (AGC) and Washington State’s Department of Labor and Industries (L&I) to build, implement and improve MSNW’s safety program. Under her leadership, MSNW earned a three-year Safety Team achievement with AGC, and L&I invited MSNW to join its exclusive Blueprint for Safety Program. Shanan holds a Bachelor’s Degree from San Jose State University and volunteers with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Lummi Island.
